It is been concluded the fair of Basel, for the first time subdivided between Basel and Zurich and for the occasion renamed "Basel World". Corart participated also to this edition, exhibiting to Zurich and presenting the three firms Veronese F. lli, Aurum srl and Ryry srl.
From the voice of the President, Mrs Gianna Veronese: "This Year the fair decided to distribute in two different places the show 'Basel World', reserving to Basel the field of clocks and of jewellery brand, while all the other businesses went to Zurich.
A lot of Italian exhibitors renounced to participate this edition, actual for the fact of to be been moved to Zurich, preferring waiting to see how will be evolved this fair divided in two parts.
Unfortunately the event of the explosion of the war first and of the SARS then, made conditional heavily the unwinding of the lounge. In fact to Zurich 317 exhibitors coming from Hong Kong, Vietnam, China and Singapore did not be able to exhibit their collection of samples and that has allowed, beyond the reduction to a half of the number of exhibitors, also to the spread of the fears provoked from this decision of the authority fair of Basel to exclude the exhibitors of the Southeast Asian, that has allowed the cancellation is some number of the visitors.
