From now on, Corart will no longer be involved only in promotional activities (for example, the organisation of its members’ collective participation in international trade fair events) but will also be directly interested in sales activities. With her ten years’ experience and a very respectable portfolio of clients, Stefania Viero has become the group’s trade representative. Gianna Veronese explains “it’s no longer sufficient to simply ‘promote’ firms; we have to promote their products directly”. Stefania will be offering a new service to Corart members and represents an important precedent in the history of Italian promotional consortiums. During international trade fairs events (e.g. Vicenza, Arezzo, Basel, Las Vegas, New York, Hong Kong) Stefania will provide liaison between buyers and individual firms, while on trade missions (especially to the USA, Middle East and Europe) those firms interested in the service will be directly represented by Stefania, who will have the task of managing the presentation of sample collections. To the advantage of greater commercial penetration is added the potential of commercial growth. Stefania will in fact also act as a consultant and will be able to provide feedback to the firms concerning the strong and weak points of their products. The advantage for buyers will be that of having just one point of reference, where they will find information that will direct them more rapidly towards the firms most capable of meeting their needs.
